Challenge Matapédia & les Plateaux…
      initiative de Matapédia les Plateaux en Action !

In order to highlight our beautiful outdoor region and to promote physical activity, the Matapedia & Plateaux en Action organization is organizing an off-road adventure race for a 4th consecutive year.

Le 12 Septembre 2021

MLP Challenge is a one day adventure race taking place in the Matapedia and Plateaux territory which is located at the junction of the Matapedia Valley, the Baie-des-Chaleurs and New Brunswick. This year we offer 2 categories of courses with 3 disciplines and events, including trail running, mountain biking and canoeing, all done in teams of two. The three disciplines are interspersed with several checkpoints in the wilderness, and sometimes difficult to access. We have some surprises in store for the 2021 edition.

2 categories: The 38 km and the 55 km 

This category, the 38 km Challenge Matapédia & les Plateaux is open to all! You will have to run, mountain bike and canoe in duo for approximately 38 km during your day. You must be in a team of 2 to participate. All along the course, you will have to find checkpoints to punch your logbook.

The 55 km Challenge Matapédia & les Plateaux is also open to all, but with an additional difficulty. You will have to run approximately the same distance as the 35 km. The mountain bike is the event that increases the most in difficulty. The canoe also contains an additional challenge. The checkpoints will also be more numerous.

You must be in a team of 2 to participate.

The Défi Nepisiguit Challenge is a two-day adventure race hosted in Northeast New Brunswick and includes a combination of trekking, orienteering, mountain biking and canoeing.

The City of Bathurst organizes the Défi Nepisiguit Challenge.The event is also sanctioned by the Canadian Adventure Racing Association.
